Common reasons older adults seek chiropractic care

People commonly seek chiropractic care for concerns such as:
  • Back pain and stiffness
  • Neck pain and tension
  • Reduced mobility and flexibility
  • Posture changes
  • Balance and movement concerns
  • Arthritis-related discomfort
  • General aches and pains associated with ageing
Some people also choose ongoing chiropractic care proactively to help support healthy movement and mobility as they age.

Supporting active lifestyles and independence with care tailored to your needs

Many older adults want to stay active, mobile and independent for as long as possible. Chiropractic care may help support comfort and movement for everyday activities such as gardening, walking, travelling, golf, exercise and spending time with grandchildren. Some people seek care to help address smaller issues early before they begin affecting activity levels, mobility or confidence with movement.
Doctors Iain and Kelly Guest and the team have experience caring for older adults with a wide range of mobility levels and health considerations including osteoarthritis, joint replacements, reduced mobility and osteoporosis-related considerations. Care is always personalised and adapted to suit the individual, their comfort levels and overall health.

What to expect at your first visit

Your first appointment includes a discussion about your health history, symptoms, mobility and goals, followed by an assessment to better understand how your body is functioning. We will explain our findings clearly and discuss whether chiropractic care may be appropriate for your situation along with a personalised care plan designed around your needs and activity levels. If needed, we are also happy to work alongside your GP or other healthcare providers as part of your care.
Many people over 60 seek chiropractic care not only for discomfort, but also to help maintain movement confidence, flexibility, posture and overall quality of life. Contact Thrive Chiropractic to arrange an appointment or discuss your concerns with our team.
