How we work with you - Your first appointment

Your first appointment is approximately one hour and focuses on understanding your health history, concerns, lifestyle and how your body is currently functioning.
Before your appointment, you will complete a form covering your current and past health. You will then meet with one of our chiropractors for a consultation and assessment.
This may include:
  • Discussion about your symptoms and concerns
  • Posture and movement assessment
  • Spinal and joint checks
  • Neurological and orthopaedic testing where appropriate
  • X-rays if clinically required
We will explain what we are assessing and discuss whether chiropractic care may be appropriate for your situation. Wear whatever you feel comfortable in. There is no special preparation required for your appointment.

Your second appointment

Your second visit is a reporting appointment where we discuss your report, explain what may be contributing to your symptoms and outline a personalised care plan based on your needs and goals. You’ll then start the healing process with your first chiropractic adjustment.

Ongoing care and progress visits

Follow-up appointments are generally shorter and focus on monitoring your progress and responding to changes in how you are feeling and functioning. The number of visits recommended varies from person to person depending on your symptoms, goals and overall situation. Some people seek care for short-term concerns, while others choose ongoing care to help support mobility, movement and general wellbeing.
Regular reassessments are also carried out where appropriate to help ensure your care remains suited to your needs.

A chiropractic adjustment is a controlled movement applied to a joint or part of the spine that is not moving at its best. Some adjustments may produce a clicking sound, while others may not. The techniques used are adapted to the individual, their age, comfort levels and health considerations. Many people seek chiropractic care to help support movement, mobility, flexibility, overall function and feeling great.

No. You can book an appointment directly yourself, although some people are also referred by their GP, midwife, physiotherapist or another healthcare provider.

This varies from person to person depending on your symptoms, goals, lifestyle and how long the issue has been present. Some people seek short-term care for a specific concern, while others choose ongoing care to help support movement, mobility and general wellbeing.

Many people seek chiropractic care for occasional or ongoing back pain. For some people, discomfort can make everyday tasks, work or physical activity more difficult. Chiropractic care may help support spinal movement, mobility and overall function following a thorough assessment of your symptoms, lifestyle and health history. Talk to us to find out more.
